Save Our State of Massachusetts

Mass already has Obamacare!

It’s called ROMNEYCARE.  How’s that workin’ out for ya?

We know that today the repeal of Obamacare is likely to pass in the House, and then is very likely to be defeated in the Senate, if it is even brought forth for a vote to the Senate Floor by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.  (Reid has corruptly used the Senate rules to cram liberal legislation like ObamaCare down the American people’s throats. He is now declaring that he will not bring the repeal of Obamacare to the Senate floor for vote!)

Who is going to pay for this monstrosity? It’s been tried. It doesn’t work,  and premiums keep going up while services go down.  It’s an economic nightmare whether you’re talking about Obamacare or Romneycare, and before Obamacare even gets started, over 250 waivers have been given to companies exempting them from the rigors of the law so that they can stay in business.  If it’s so good for business, why do they need a waiver, and what of all the rest of businesses without the clout to go for waivers?  And, if it’s such a great bill, why would Reid even resist the repeal of it going to the floor?  “For evil to flourish, all that is needed is for good people to do nothing.”  EdmundPolitical Cartoon Burke

Never would it be more appropriate than now to put pressure on our leaders, especially those up for reelection in 2012, to demand the repeal of this job killing bill.

IT. CANNOT. BE. FIXED.

and the accounting tricks used to pass ObamaCare would have, if employed by a private business, put the company’s CEO in prison for the rest of his life.  Some examples:

•Majority Leader Harry Reid used bribes, extortion, and corruption to buy the votes he needed to pass it.
•Reid used a procedural tactic called an “amendment tree” to virtually eliminate Republicans’ ability to offer amendments of interest to them for an entire year.
•Reid scheduled as many as four or five bills simultaneously for no other reason than to buy off votes for his upcoming election -– also blocking all amendments to these bills.
•Reid wallowed in fiscal fraud, claiming that ObamaCare would reduce the deficit -– and, at the same time, sneaking $250 billion in costs onto other legislation.
•Reid used this procedural sleaze to cram more Big Government legislation down the throats of the American people than in any Congress in the last 40 years.

But the biggest argument for repealing Obamacare was given to us by President Obama yesterday in his statement regarding the new policy he is setting forth: “… today, I am signing an executive order that makes clear that this is the operating principle of our government. This order requires that federal agencies ensure that regulations protect our safety, health and environment while promoting economic growth. And it orders a government-wide review of the rules already on the books to remove outdated regulations that stifle job creation and make our economy less competitive. It’s a review that will help bring order to regulations that have become a patchwork of overlapping rules, the result of tinkering by administrations and legislators of both parties and the influence of special interests in Washington over decades.”  While we must

watch what they do, not what they say, tell Obama and his minions to START HERE:

This is OBAMACAREPeople need to know it, see it, study it, and understand it, because THIS is what EVERYBODY will be getting, and depicts how it is going to be administered, and paid for* if it is not REPEALED.  WE MUST STOP THIS:

This chart helps depict what the over 2,400 pages of the bill is going to do and how it is going to work.  To facilitate a more thorough understanding of something that will have a profound effect on everyone’s healthcare and future, distribute and display this poster in your businesses, school, doctors’ offices, hospitals, medical buildings, everywhere you can because it will affect everybody.

Each line on the chart includes the actual statute number, embedded for all to see, as it correlates and is delineated in the actual bill.

You cannot, however, read these and other specifics and important details without viewing it in poster size.  36 x 40 inch posters are available for $5.00 a piece by emailing sosmassnow@gmail.com .  They can also be purchased laminated, and/or mounted for $10.00 each.  Please help to distribute these and alert people to the disaster of this bill, and contact your Senators today and demand that it be repealed.

ALL the Senators need to hear from you, and their phone numbers are HERE Also consider going to their websites and getting their FAX numbers so you can keep their Fax machines busy with written notice of your opposition to Obamacare – day and night!

People NEED to see OBAMACARE in a format beyond what is illegible from the one they might have seen on the internet.  The smaller versions do not speak to what seeing the full size poster can do to convince the most stubborn supporter of Obamacare, that it simply cannot work for the patient, and WILL BANKRUPT our country.

Until you have seen and studied exactly what Obamacare is going to look like, how it will work, and what new government agencies will be spawned and an impediment to your healthcare as a result, you can’t begin to imagine what Obamacare is really going to look like.  This poster only depicts the administrative aspect, but clearly implies the economic effect of THAT aspect alone.  It speaks nothing to the patient doctor relationship except for what is BETWEEN them and their ‘individual’ care of you.
* of course through REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH some will never have to pay for this, while others are killing themselves to do so and our country goes broke.

The House PASSED a vote to REPEAL ObamaCare this afternoon 245-189–and according to C-Span that carried the House proceedings, 3 Democrats voted w/Republicans to repeal. They were Boren (D-OK), McIntyre (D-NC), & Ross (D-Arkansas). They, along with Republicans, should get a “thank you” call/email/fax in my opinion because they understood what this bill REALLY did to American’s health care and freedom!
However this is ONLY the FIRST STEP in actually repealing the law. It will now go to the Senate, where it is reported that Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) may NOT allow a vote on it! In addition, even if it were to be voted on and repealed in the Senate, it would undoubtedly be vetoed by the President.
It’s important that we let our Senators know that this is still HIGH PRIORITY to “the people”, particularly so the Senate does not abandon this issue. I called 3 representatives this AM whom I happened to hear during lunch on C-Span to thank them for “listening” to “the people” by debating fervently and logically for this repeal. I wanted them to know that although I was not one of their constituents, I and many other MA residents thanked them–since our state’s representation in the U.S. House was NOT “listening” to us. Then I called Representative Markey’s ofice to let him know that I knew he was planning to vote against the repeal, and that his vote would not represent me and thousands of his other MA constituents. It’s vital that everyone displeased with Markey’s vote call/email/fax his office to let him know that, especially since 2012 elections will soon be here!
At this point, the Republicans plan to introduce a plan tomorrow to immediately begin work on a “replacement health care bill” by a committee which will make its deliberations open to the American public, and which the Republicans hope will be bi-partisan. The new plan includes making insurance available across state lines and preventing insurance companies from eliminating folks with pre-existing conditions from obtaining insurance.
Repealing ObamaCare is certain to be a LONG process. The next step in the process will take place in the Senate. It is crucial we take the time to contact Senators Scott Brown and John Kerry right away. Encourage Scott Brown to hold the line on the issue and work with other Senators to keep the repeal alive in the Senate chamber and get a vote to the floor. Even though Kerry’s mind is made up, at least contact him to tell him that a vote against repealing this law is a vote against the wishes of thousands of his MA constituents.
We must continue to stay informed and to stay in contact with the people in DC who really are “listening” to “the people’s voice”!

An additional note about staying informed about “DC happenings”: The YOUCUT program initiated by Eric Cantor (R-VA) last year, and still in effect (google YOUCUT to get to website) identified a budget “cut” that was brought to the House floor for a vote once the NEW Congress was in session. It was for government to stop overprinting legislation, particularly since all that information has long been available on line. The House voted to PASS this YouCut proposal, delivering millions of dollars in saving to the taxpayers! New “cuts” will continue to be available on YOUCUT for YOU to vote on, SO BE SURE YOU GO TO THE SITE AND DO THAT!!!

It amazes me that Massachusetts citizens stand by and let the state rip their constitution out of their hands, it must be the city folk attitude, that we believe the government will take care of all our problems. Mandatory Mass. Health-care is great alright, it costs my wife and I $1,900 a month or else we get fined. By the way that is up another $200+ from last year, again. Who makes out, the health-care providers, and our local government, both of whom do not not know how to control their costs, and who don’t believe in free trade between states to lower costs of our insurance policies. In closing with my comments. Try purchasing one of those Massachusetts blessed lower cost policies. As long as you don’t have any problems that require medical attention, you will be fine. Good luck to all those citizens who keep burying their heads in the sand. The good news is that if the Obama plan goes into effect, we can all suck off the public welfare program and watch the country go down the tubes.

“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

Let’s keep the dialogue going because trust me, there is much to this that many don’t know, for example, I just learned Mass has the most expensive healthcare in the country. Flushing that premise out and exposing it could go a long way towards showing the rest of the country what they are in for (I’m talking about the ones that are still ignorant), and in doing so, would put pressure on our Governor to do something about it – – – like get rid of Romneycare?

This site was posted on Brown Brigade by one of our members and site managers can see a lot of traffic coming from there. Hopefully that will get more more people to make the calls. With enough pressure there is likely a way to force Reid to bring it, the Repeal vote to the floor, and I am sick of them saying it is just symbolic, and can’t be repealed in the Senate. Try it, and if nothing else, put pressure on those up for reelection in 2012. There are certainly enough reasons for the Senate to repeal this. Please, anyone reading this, try and get people who have never been engaged before to stop this Obamacare. You can’t fix something this convoluted, and Social Security, Medicare, our US Postal Service and more, all being broke, or about to be, tells us where this government run program is headed. Then there are the other 2,400 reasons. This is important enough to spend the time on because it’s not just about the economy, the government takeover, etc. It puts a real wrench in the left’s socialism/communist agenda, and that is worth all the time we have to devote to this.

I emailed Kerry,Brown, and Keating that Obamacare needs to be repealed and start over and do it right.I also always vote on You cut and make suggestions for other savings I think it’s a great idea. What I would like to know is how can we get the Mass senate and house of representatives to repeal Romneycare?
I can’t believe Romney is even thinking about running for president you’d have to be brain dead to vote for someone who did this much damage to the state he governed.

Just read yesterday that Massachusetts has the highest health care costs in the country, and that the # 1 issue voters want the govenor to address is healthcare/health insurance costs. When this unconstitional, anti-free market legislation was jammed down our throats, it was sold as a cost cutting, money saving piece of legislation. Well, predictably this has turned out be the opposite. Whenever you use the coersive force of law to force people to do something they otherwise may not have done, ie buying any overpriced product or service, what incentive is there for the price of that product or service to become more affordable? Just another example of the governments’ involvement having the exact opposite result of their stated goal.
My thoughts on the so called health “reform” we had here.

I’m self-employed with a drop in my business since the recession/depression. My rate is now $780.00 per month for one person. My insurance has gone up 33% in the past two years. I also got a letter from my insurance company asking that I sign a paper that says I can not get insurance from any other source, such as an employer or family. If I could get insurance from either source, I would not have been able to chose the insurance I wanted, which is Blue Cross. I also have to pay a deductible of $1500.00 per year now which I didn’t have to pay two years ago, and I had to drop the dental insurance which I had two years ago because of the costs. So, I’m spending much more for less. Besides, there are only a few insurance companies that will offer insurance policies to individuals in Massachusetts, making my choices very limited. Health Reform is not working for me! Others have told me they are only paying $60 per month as part of the MassHealth Plan. I wonder, who is paying the rest?
