Save Our State of Massachusetts

RINO’s Mixer

There is ample reason to have strong feelings about the idea of mixing up the seating for the upcoming State of the Union Address.  For the last two years/holiday seasons the left has crammed legislation down our throats that activists have lost sleep over trying to stop with phone calls, faxes, and emails right through Christmas Eve and going into the new year.  All the while the left showed their complete disregard for the will of the people, as well as the intentions of our Founders, but most recently in particular, a tragic incident in Tuscan was politicized and blamed on conservatives and Tea Partiers alike, while we were accused of everything from inciting it to murder.  That comes after the last two years of being called everything from racists to terrorists, but now that we, after an enourmous effort, regained control of the House, now, and only now, we’re supposed to all be friends, and get along to go along.

And it’s only when it suits and serves the interests of the left.  What on earth does the right get out of it beyond showing appeasement for the absurd.  Please take the time to read, at a minimum, the link from The Hill.  Is this a joke?  Do we really have to watch this sophmoric display of our leaders after just witnessing our President launch his re-election campaign at a memorial service?  Do the leaders that we worked tirelessly to get to Washington, (albeit our efforts failing spectacularly subsequent to the Scott Brown victory) have so little respect for, or clue as to why we sent them to Washington.  We could fax, email, and phone all over again if we had to, but shouldn’t they have gotten the message by now, and why should we have to work so hard for things that take such a small requirement of common sense.  Click here to link to site providing more information on Prom nite in Washington.

Among the many other things we are unrelentingly accused of is that we are the party of “NO”.  Why then can’t Republicans live up to at least one premise the left uses to desparage us and JUST SAY NO.

The idea is for the Dems to sit everywhere, so that when they get up to clap at almost every word, it looks like the whole throng is in support. It’s a rah-rah way of getting support, and stifling dissenters.
The media will spin it as ‘practically everyone was in favor of Obama’s words’ and that it is obviously a blow to the Tea Party movement.
We should have cameras focused on individual Congress people, and COUNT the number of times they get up to clap and holler.
Nobody cares what he says- this will be about how it looks on TV, and to the press.
Expect Cong. Giffords to be front and center in speech, if not physically there.

Conaway: No special plans at State of the Union
    January 24, 2011 5:27 PM
House Rep. Mike Conaway (TX-11) said he has no special seating plans for the State of the Union speech Tuesday night. He’ll probably sit with the Texas delegation, made up of nine Democrats and 23 Republicans, he said.

“I don’t have a date for the prom, so to speak,” he said.

He said he’s not a bomb thrower and has a reputation for listening to the other side. He calls the idea for Democrats and Republicans sitting together a step in the right direction, but he’s waiting to see if it will actually create a more bipartisan atmosphere.

“I’d rather see us work together than do political theater,” he said.
